Please join us this Earth Day for Aveda’s annual Catwalk for Water at the Energy Nightclub in downtown Cincinnati! Catwalk for Water is an annual green carpet event where members of Aveda’s Institutes, salons, and spas come together to raise money for Earth Month by showcasing their inspiration, skills, and creativity in hair, makeup, and fashion. Using the Earth as inspiration, design teams will create custom looks and designs that reflect Aveda’s core principles of protecting clean water, using responsibly sourced, natural ingredients, using earth-friendly packaging through responsible manufacturing. 100% of proceeds go to the Ohio Chapter of the Sierra Club. Music, dancing, Catwalk for Water, and Silent Auction items will all benefit the Sierra Club’s efforts and programs that go towards protecting Ohio’s waterways.

“Ohio means “great river” and we have close to 200,000 miles of waterways in our state. Unfortunately many of our waterways are not great any more but trashed, polluted and neglected,” says Matt Trokan, Conservation Director of the Sierra Club.  “Catwalks for Water has had a tremendous impact in funding the creation of the Ohio Water Sentinel Network, which is the only statewide water monitoring network in Ohio. They have also helped train future environmental leaders through our Clean Water Fellowship program. We have dedicated over 15,000 hours of service to cleaning up our streams and rivers with these efforts.”

Come watch Aveda’s models showcase their unique products and display their singular visions of design, and see who takes home the top awards!
