The member slide show will take place on Nov. 5, 2012, beginning at 7:00PM, at the Dan Beard Council (Boy Scouts Achievement Center).
This is a great opportunity to share your nature vacation photos with your fellow Sierra Club members. It has always been a very interesting and enjoyable evening.
We usually fit 8 presentations into the allowed time, so priority will be given to the FIRST EIGHT slide show presenter requests, with a waiting list, in case someone cannot show up or there is extra time remaining. Sign-up will continue the night of the meeting, on a first-come, first-served basis.
Each slide show should have a nature or conservation theme to it (e.g. National Park outdoor recreation trip, wildflowers, birding, coral reef adventures, etc.). We already have the following slide show topics scheduled:
- Glacier National Park
- Wild Australia
- Yosemite and Hetch Hetchy Valley
- Absaroka-Beartooth Wilderness
If you wish to present, please email firstname.lastname@example.org.
There will have to be a limit of 12 minutes per presenter.
Doug Jose will be taking care of the computer media and projection system.
Please bring your presentation slides on a labeled flash drive, in .jpg or .ppt format. We are asking that all presenters arrive by 6:40PM in order to give your flash drive to Doug to test.
Usually about 20 slides are presented, but more can be done as long as the presentation is within the 12-minute time limit.
