Sierra Club honors Cincinnati’s Streetcar as one of nation’s Best Transportation Projects and Slams the Eastern Corridor Highway as one of the Worst!

[Cincinnati, Ohio]  The Sierra Club this week released a national report Smart Choices, Less Traffic: 50 Best and Worst Transportation Projects in the United States, which includes two Greater Cincinnati transportation projects as examples of the best and worst in transportation planning.

The Worst List highlighted the public health, safety, and ecological risks associated with the proposed Eastern Corridor Highway, which would drive a new four-lane roadway through the Village of Newtown, plow through important historic and archaeological sites in Mariemont, and endanger the National and State Scenic Little Miami River by construction of a major new bridge on State Route 32….. to see the full Press Release click here.
