On June 20, 2015 I travelled to the Sierra Club’s southeastern territory in Adams County. The Serpent Mound is a destination for many tourists at the time of the summer solstice each year. The celebration includes a drum circle and artists showcasing Indian jewelry and animal pelts.
I met Crystal Narayana, Program Director for the conservation group, Arc of Appalachia Preserve System. Her kind words led to a collaboration with the Sierra Club where I posted a welcome sign to the visitors to the Serpent Mound Museum Store. The Serpent Mound is located at 3850 State Route 73 Peebles Ohio 45660. Contact information for the group responsible for care of the world’s largest animal effigy is the following:
