Email from Jack Sutton of Great Parks of Hamilton County:
Great Parks of Hamilton County believes more public input is better than less. Accordingly, we are hosting 12 public listening sessions across Hamilton County from March 17 – April 27, 2016. These informal, open-house style meetings will give you and other attendees the chance to share thoughts and ideas about your Great Parks while interacting one-on-one with our friendly staff. The sessions run from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm, allowing residents to stop by at their leisure and stay as long as they wish. Detailed information can be found on the attached poster or online at:
These listening sessions are just another step in our ongoing due diligence process as we look to the future and our long term funding needs. During the past year, we have engaged the Auditor of State of Ohio to conduct a performance audit. We have also been working closely with the Great Parks Task Force, a group of interested Hamilton County residents, who have been reviewing current and future funding ideas. Ultimately, these extensive efforts will assist our Board of Park Commissioners as they contemplate a future levy to benefit Great Parks of Hamilton County.
