On Oct. 5, 2015, Clayton Doughenbaugh, conservation organizer with the Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance, gave an excellent presentation to a large group of Sierra Club members and guests, about Utah’s Red Rock Canyonlands, and the fight to save these unique and threatened public lands.
The Southern Utah Wilderness Alliance and its partners in the Utah Wilderness Coalition seek to gain local support for the “Citizens’ Proposal” to protect wilderness areas in Utah’s Red Rock Canyonlands — legislation is pending in Congress, the White House is reviewing national monument proposals, and administrative decisions by the Department of Interior are ongoing.
The presentation took place at the Boy Scouts Achievement Center in Evendale. For more information about this presentation, please contact: Clayton Doughenbaugh at [email protected]and/or email your congressmen asking them to co-sponsor “America’s Red Rock Wilderness Act” (S.1375):
