Recap of the December Innings Meeting

On Tue. Dec. 6, 2016, Jack Berninger shared his recent trip to the Galapagos Islands in front of 38 members of the Miami Group.

Jack Berninger at Charles Darwin Center, on Santa Cruz Island, Galapagos.

Jack did a wonderful job of presenting the geology, natural history, trip details, and amazing photos of the endemic wildlife. He is a retired biology teacher, but never stopped teaching. He does presentations to local groups including the Sierra Club, Audubon, Fernald, and to nature groups in the Everglades region in Florida.

Everyone in the audience was very interested in planning a trip to the Galapagos after the lecture was complete. Jack’s previous presentations to our group were the Fakahatchee Swamp, and Geology of the TriState.
