Local Responses To What Is Going On In Washington Part II:
The Impact On The Environment – E.P.A Cuts And Much More

Thursday April 27, 2017, 12:00 Noon,
Christ Church Cathedral Forum Room, 318 East Fourth Street

With a huge proposed cut in the E.P.A. budget and the elimination of President Obama’s Executive Orders on the environment, public concern has mounted about the future of environmental protection under this Administration. Earth Day events across the country and the March for Science in Washington, D.C. will showcase this concern. At the next Community Issues Forum, D. David Altman, an Environmental Attorney who specializes in defending average citizens from the impacts of major polluters, will review what is happening in Washington and what citizens can do locally. This luncheon forum takes place at 12:00 noon, Thursday April 27th, Christ Church Cathedral Forum Room (Third Floor), 318 East Fourth Street.

Even under past Administrations, according to David Altman, much more needed to be done to counter pollution and improve the environment. However, the Executive Orders and proposed policy changes occurring under this Administration represent a total reversal in the role of government in protecting the environment. As an expert in environmental law, the Forum speaker can ably assess the potential damages and available counter measures. As usual, time will be set aside for questions and comments from the audience.

Come join us for this Forum, and do bring a friend. Lunch can be purchased for $6.50, or you can bring a brown bag. Parking is available in the garage of the building across the street from the Cathedral on 4th Street between Broadway and Sycamore. For video clips of past Forums, go to
