On August 4 the Outings Committee successfully held their first used gear sale at the Outdoors for All Expo at Paddlefest. In conjunction with the Miami Group’s information tent, they were able to raise over $1,400.
Better still, we were encouraging reuse of the equipment that otherwise would sit in a garage or end up in a landfill. Our customers were thrilled with their bargains, and will undoubtedly return next year.
A special thanks to the many generous contributors of used equipment, as well as our outings leaders who staffed the event.
