At his last outing, Jay led eight adventuresome backpackers through the Citico Wilderness in North Carolina. Despite the wintery conditions, Jay made sure the group stayed safe and had a great time. It’s no surprise, given that Jay has been leading outings for Sierra Club since the 1980s. Backpacking, cycling, paddle sports, service outings … Jay does it all and continues to be one of the most popular and prolific outings leaders for the Miami Group.
