Outings to Begin Reopening in July

Bike riders

Great news for all of us that have been waiting for in-person Sierra Club outings to return! Starting July 5, outdoor in-person day trips and training will be allowed. Overnight outings will also reopen, but at a scaled back frequency for the months of July and August, with a full return expected in September. See details of the reopening timeline here. Note that this update applies to outdoor activities only, we are still awaiting guidance for reopening indoor meetings and events.

Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic, Sierra Club has prioritized the safety of our staff, volunteers, members and our communities as we tried to balance continuing to meet our mission and managing our social responsibility. We all welcome this beginning of a return to normalcy.

Announcements for Miami Group outings will be posted on our Meetup site here. As our outings program comes back up to speed, we hope you’ll consider joining us to once again “explore, enjoy and protect” our natural world.
