Join Sierra Club Miami Group and Communities United For Action (CUFA) at 6:30 PM on April 28, 6:30-8:00 pm for a discussion on current sewer rate structure and proposed changes.
Hear from panelists appointed to the Impervious Surface Stakeholder Advisory Group (including Sierra Club and CUFA) by County Commissioners to study the feasibility of changing the sewer rate structure to reflect the cost burden of treating stormwater runoff in the Metropolitan Sewer District’s (MSD) wastewater treatment plants.
Residential and small commercial ratepayers deserve fairness and accountability. We are recommending the County Commissioners act now to fix the flawed sewer rate structure and ensure all properties contribute their fair share.
