Sierra Club extends COVID Operational Response to July 4

Sierra Club is extending its current COVID-19 operational response through Sunday, July 4. This means all national, chapter and shared offices will remain closed — with rare exceptions for urgent business continuity needs — and all other guidance will remain in place.

“Informed by what we know now regarding vaccine distribution — weighed against the significant reduction in risk needed before we can begin a return to our workspaces — we are extending our current COVID-19 operational response through Sunday, July 4,” said Sierra Club President Ramón J. Cruz. “This means all national, chapter and shared offices will remain closed–with rare exceptions for urgent business continuity needs– and all other guidance will remain in place. While once again a difficult decision, we have and will continue to prioritize the safety of our staff, volunteers, members and our communities as we balance continuing to meet our mission and managing our social responsibility in this moment.”
