Tour a coal-fired electricity plant May 31

Join Sierra Club Miami Group for a tour of the Miami Fort Generating Station, a working coal-fired power plant. 10 AM Saturday, May 31. 

The plant dates back to 1949, when its first coal-fired unit went online. The most recent coal unit was commissioned in 1978. Oil fired units were commissioned in 1971. The current owner is Dynegy.

The tour is currently at capacity of 15 participants, but you can join the waitlist, and will be notified if space opens up.
