Update - Duke Pipeline Extension

In the Duke Pipeline Extension case, the Administrative Law Judge made a ruling on Friday, Jan. 17th to give more time for the Ohio Power Siting Board (OPSB) to review the Applications for Rehearing. The time frame is unspecified and could take up to a number of months.

The Parties involved, along with NOPE, are still active during this time. Check the NOPE website  often for updates, especially for property owners who might be impacted.

Check out our website for more information.
Local democracy is being threatened at the Statehouse!

Ohio Senate Bill 222 would prevent cities from placing a fee on items, such as single-use plastic bags and bottles, as a means to discourage overuse. A minimal charge for bags and bottles has proven to be an effective disincentive to wasteful over-consumption. Senate Bill 222 would take away a city's right to address pollution as it sees fit. Local governments should have the power to decide what is best for their community.

Bike the Little Miami Bike Trail from Isaac Walton League
The weather was about the upper 70’s degree range with clear sunny skies. We started off by doing a brief trail talk before we began the bike ride. This bike ride was casual moderate-paced. This bike ride began close to about 1:30 pm and we stopped at the Avoca Park for about 20 minutes or so and we returned back to the Isaac Walton League about 4:00 pm such as before the picnic portion began. This bike ride was approximately 24 miles.
Join us at future bike rides!

“Explore, enjoy and protect the planet”… this opening sentence of the Sierra Club mission statement exemplifies the objectives of the Outings committee. By sponsoring outdoor activities such as hiking, camping, biking, backpacking, paddle sports and service projects, we actively engage both members and non-members in exploring and enjoying the natural world. Our volunteer Outings Leaders deliver outdoor activities for all skill levels encouraging community members to appreciate the environment and support its protection.

View our Outings MeetUp page for hikes, camping, and more!
