Miami Group would like to thank the UC Field Center in Harrison for generously hosting Sierra Club’s Outings Leader Training in June. Seven new Sierra Club Outings Leaders joined three experienced leaders for a full day of training that included outdoor leadership and basic first aid and CPR skills.
This training is required by Sierra Club for all new leaders, and then every two years as refresher training. Sierra Club prides itself in training its local Outings Leaders to offer programs that are inclusive and enable participants to enjoy, explore and protect the environment safely and responsibly.
