Miami Group Outings celebrated National Trails Day June 7 with a three-night backpacking trip to Panthertown Valley in North Carolina. Participants joined a day of trail maintenance sponsored by Friends of Panthertown, and supported by the US Forest Service, as a way to give back to the community. Following a full day of hard but satisfying work, they continued the outing by exploring the beautiful waterfalls, overlooks and summer blooms of spectacular Panthertown Valley.
