A weekend in late June turned out to be the perfect time for Sierra Club Miami Group Outings Committee to host a fun boating adventure at Cowan Lake State Park public beach. The participants had canoes, kayaks, stand-up paddle boards and sail boats to choose from, and most took advantage of the opportunity to try them all. The weather was ideal for boating, warm but not too sunny with a light breeze, and the rain held off until after the event. There was plenty of time for a picnic on the grassy shore, then another round of paddling! All in all a great family event.
