Dr. Joan Friedland, age 74, retired epidemiologist at NIOSH, passed away June 20, 2010, following a long illness. She was the beloved daughter of the late Isadore & Esther Friedland. Joan was a strong conservation supporter for the Miami Group Sierra Club for many years.
