Our November Educational Forum featured Mark Fisher, Cincinnati Zoo’s vice president of facilities and sustainability. His talk, “Net Zero – That’s Cool!, But It’s Not Good Enough”, centered on what the zoo is doing to aggressively pursue its Net Zero goals, how they are using their talents and leveraging, their brand and their partners to help others in need, whether it’s across the world, or across the street.
“I have no doubt my friends at the Sierra Club will be fired up (in a good way) about what is happening at their zoo,” Mark said.
Through green building, solid waste management, renewable energy, water conservation, storm water management, energy efficiency and community outreach, the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden has strengthened its sustainability program to have a positive impact on the planet.
