In addition to outdoor skills and training in basic First Aid, Sierra Club outings leaders are required to complete a course in outdoor leadership called OLT. Among other topics, OLT stresses ethical leadership, equity and inclusion, how to plan and conduct an outing, and risk management.
On a recent beautiful fall day, nineMiami Group leaders completed their OLT training, and then stretched their legs with a bike ride to a local brewery.
