Join Third Act, Sierra Club and partners marching in support of climate solutions.
You don’t need to be a seasoned hiker in order to participate in the GOCM. Whether you want to hike (all, or part, of the 120-mile route), or wish to support the GOCM in other ways, there is a spot for you!
When: May 16-28 of 2026 – participate in all or part of it!
Where: Southeast and mid-Ohio, Athens to Salt Fork to Columbus
Who: The Great Ohio Climate March is being organized by Third Act Ohio, with the help of many organizations including Sierra Club.
Why: To draw broad attention and public awareness to:
- Fracking on Ohio public lands & state parks.
- Extractive industry and politicians using Ohio as a sacrifice zone
- The benefits to all Ohioans of clean, renewable energy.
Scholarships: The Ohio Sierra Club offers young adults aged 18-30 scholarships to pay fees. Apply online by March 15 before registering: Awards for use at registration will be made before April 1.
