Volunteers spruce up The Grove at French Park

A tree planted in memory and honor of MGSC member Lynn Frock.

Sierra Club volunteers met on the morning of Sunday, July 13 to take care of our beautiful Memorial Grove. The Grove at French Park, managed by The Sierra Club Miami Group, is within the 275-acre park, located in Amberley Village and has miles of hiking trails, creeks, meadows, and wooded hillsides. After mulching, volunteers went on a short hike through the Creek Trail.

Have a green thumb? We’re in search of a volunteer coordinator to lead in maintaining The Grove to aid in our mission to establish a thriving tree grove, foster biodiversity, lessen outside temperatures, and mitigate climate change for a greener planet.
